Week 100!! - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Well, another crazy week of MUD, MLC, New Years day, and lots of lessons is over!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We celebrated by.....sleeping :]

Well it's 2015.

Let's start the year off with some sweet as miracles!

Our awesome investigator Kelly, is in Houston with her family for a while. She comes back this Thursday, but went to church and brought her bro and sis. and is doing suuper well! She texted us the other day and said she finished the Book of Mormon!!...3 weeks before her baptism!! Holy shnoz. That is incredible. She is incredibly solid. Not just anyone starts living the word of wisdom after reading about it on mormon.org. Not just anyone is able to get through life after being kicked out and adopting your siblings at 17 years old and getting 2 jobs to support everyone. After being into drugs and alcohol, Kelly is completely clean and is very ready to receive the gospel at its fullest.
Kelly!! She is so awesome!!!
MISSION UNITY DAY went great!! It SNOWED IN TUCSON!!! The night of MUD, it snowed and the fields were covered in snow...to be honest, I don't like snow. But hey, it was fun. The day was great. The events went great and everyone had a great time. I ended up singing a song I wrote on the guitar (don't get your hopes up, it has 4 chords) which went great. It was fun to sing in front of the whole mission. I'm very grateful to be able to work with all the missionaries in the mission and get to know them personally. It is the BEST!!
Ever played "Simon says" with an entire mission before? #MUD
Another investigator Megan recently told us her roommate tried to kill her, but who knows. We've tried to teach Megan, but haven't been able to yet for a while. Her roommate was at church yesterday and seemed to be doing fine! Time for a little investigation yo.

We taught a lesson about this, I have always loved the bible dictionary about prayer. Woah.
The object of prayer is not to change the will of God but to secure for ourselves and for others blessings that God is already willing to grant but that are made conditional on our asking for them.
Right after Elder and Sister Stout, a senior couple that works at the institute, fed us.
Yesterday we had a sweet miracle happen. We received another referral, the main way for new investigators during Christmas break in a YSA, and her name is Kayla! We went over there and taught about the BOM and set a date for her on Jan. 31! Woohoo!! She has a slight bit of autism, but with some repetition and visual aids, we feel that she will truly know these things are true.

Last Saturday, we dropped off a good friend of ours. Elder Simpson finished his mission. After 2 incredible transfers in Sierra Vista together, and then a couple weeks while he was a traveling missionary, he's now home and I hope is doing well....he's also at work/school right now. I'd rather spread the gospel yo :] hehe
Saying bye to Elder Simpson!!
While serving here in Arizona, we always run across some interesting people...not quite as many as some other areas, but one day we ran into a YSA named David. He used to work for the Cartel and has run away from drug addicts. He was super cool to us and recently picked up a Book of Mormon. He wasn't interested in us coming back anytime soon, but whenever someone picks up a Book of Mormon, I believe they have a future in the gospel.
Sorry about the bluriness. *video coming soon*
A sweet as member that we're teaching is Lindsey! She wants to go through the temple!! She is super down to earth and is also one of those people that can look at you and read you very easily...it's crazy!! We ask her what she would like us to do to help her for the temple and she always says after each lesson, "You just always know what's right to teach me!" That's the spirit right derr :]

Mosiah 4:6

MLC this past week went fairly well. It wasn't our best training, but this next MLC on Jan. 30th will be something related to finding. We're about to have our meeting with President, so we must be going.

I know Heavenly Father loves each of us and that the power of the Atonement is always there for us and that we must each do whatever it takes to not become numb to it's incredible power. I love you all and miss you so much and can't believe it's less than a month away before I'll be freezing my butt off.

Love you all!!
